Welcome to the Wisconsin Avenue Church of Christ!

With the word of God as our guide, we are pressing on toward our eternal reward, and we want to bring you with us! Our goal is to be “simply Christian,” and spread the love and saving message of Jesus through the Huron area.

SIMPLY CHRISTIANS

Does it seem like there are just so many churches out there? How in the world do you choose the right one? What about the church that was started in the Bible, is that church still around today? YES! Our aim is to be that church!

The church of the Bible:

Has one founder which is Jesus Christ – Matthew 16:18.
Has one origin which is the day of Pentecost in A.D. 33 – Acts 2.
Has one authority which is the Bible – Ephesians 2:19-21; 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
Has one way of becoming a member which is through baptism – Romans 6:3-5; Colossians 2:11-13; Galatians 3:26-27; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Acts 2:38-47.

Some religious groups trace their founder to a man like Martin Luther, John Wesley, or Joseph Smith. Some trace their origin back to a date after the First Century. Some have authority outside of the Bible, such as the Pope, a Synod, certain creeds, or other man-made books. Some religious groups require jumping through hoops to become a member.

Not us. We are simply Christians. Just as the Bible says. Nothing more, nothing less.
